I create contemporary maps, landscapes, and devices for connection by exploring concepts of community, connections scale, and infinite possibilities of the universe.
Bio
Leigh Ann was born in Long Beach, CA. She lived in the Bay Area from 2010-2012. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles, CA.
Coleman's work investigates social landscapes and human connection. She plays with naivety, building connections and science. Her curiosity to fully grasp physiological theories in a visual sense has steered her to view art-making as a scientific process, experimenting with ideas and materials. She believes there is more than one right answer. As an art educator, she is fascinated by how instructions are creatively interpreted differently by students. She experiments with this concept in her participation-based art projects.
